# How to create an offer with a free gift

# How to Create a Bundle with a Free Gift 🎁

In this article, you’ll learn how to create an offer that includes a **free gift**, and how to customize its appearance directly while creating your offers.

|| 💡 These options are available on all plans but **only with automatic discount bundles** (not with variant-based bundles).

## 1. Create a Bundle with a Free Gift

Start by adding a bundle to a new product or an existing one.

1. In the offer creator, scroll to the section **Add gifts to this bundle** and check the box

2. Choose the product that will be offered as a gift

3. Select the free product image  

The image should already be available in your **Shopify Files**.  
If you don’t see it there, you can upload it manually by following [this tutorial](https://help.widebundle.com/en/article/how-to-upload-files-to-shopify-rtv72k/).

4. Choose the **text** that will appear on the free gift

5. Choose the **gift placement**  

You can display the gift **inside the bundle card** or **below all bundle cards** to create a “progressive unlock” effect.

💡 When a customer adds this offer to the cart, the free product will automatically be added along with it.

## 2. Customize the Free Gift Appearance

All design customizations are now made **directly inside the offer creator** while you’re creating or editing your bundle.

1. In the left panel, click on **Design**  
   (You can access it directly while editing your offers)

2. Make sure **Advanced mode** is enabled so you can access all customization options

3. Open the **Text Style** section

4. Scroll down to the **Free Gifts** area  

You’ll find two subsections that let you customize how the gift looks depending on the offer’s state (selected or not).

5. To change the background or text colors, open the **Colors** section

6. Adjust the **colors** of your Free Gift section to match your store design
