# You preselected a specific offer but another gets preselected

When a variant (like a size or color) of a product is selected in Shopify, the unique ID of this variant gets added to the webpage's URL (after “?variant=”).

If you revisit the same URL or refresh the page, **Shopify will automatically select the variant that's mentioned in the URL**. This ensures that each variant has a distinct direct link.

However, this functionality of Shopify can clash with the pre-selection feature of WideBundle.

2. What This Means for You

Simply put, if the URL you use to visit a product page contains a specific variant ID, **this will override any previous selection you made on WideBundle**. It's not that your choice isn’t being registered; it's more about how Shopify prioritizes URL information.
