My other discount doesn't work properly with WideBundle

Having trouble combining WideBundle discounts with your Shopify discounts? Let's understand how they work and how to fix this.

How Shopify Discounts Work

Shopify has three types of discounts:

  1. Product Discounts
    • Applied directly to products
    • Limited to one per product

  1. Order Discounts
    • Applied to the entire order
    • Limited to one per order

  1. Shipping Discounts
    • Applied to shipping costs
    • Limited to one per order

💡 Example: At checkout with 2 products, you could have:

  • $5 OFF on each product (product discount)
  • $5 OFF the total order (order discount)
  • $5 OFF shipping (shipping discount)

Why Your Discounts Aren't Combining

There are two possible reasons:

  1. Discount Type Conflict
    • WideBundle uses product discounts
    • Your Shopify discount is also a product discount
    • Products can only have one discount

  1. Combination Settings
    • Your Shopify discount might not be set to combine with other discounts

How to Fix It

1. Check Your Discount Type

  1. Go to Shopify dashboard and click "Discounts" in the left panel

  1. Find your discount in the list

  1. Check the discount type

If it's a "product discount", you'll need to change it to an order discount to work with WideBundle.

2. Check Combination Settings

  1. Open the discount in Shopify

  1. Scroll to the "Combinations" section

  1. Enable combination with product discounts

Final Steps

After making these changes, your discounts should work together properly.

💡 Pro Tip: When creating new Shopify discounts, consider using order discounts instead of product discounts to ensure compatibility with WideBundle.
